After her win in October of 2008, Leanne was quickly inundated with requests for custom wedding gowns and found that she loved the challenge of making someone the dress of their dreams. Her designs are described as ethereal, elegant and sophisticated. Each dress is lovingly made by Leanne and her small team in New York using the highest quality silks and trims.

We hear this over and over again from our Flutter brides. They want something unique, elegant and something the bridesmaids can wear again.

That is a tall order, but one that our designers meet with ease. The styles we offer lend themselves to classic looks and fabrics. They are easily paired with a pretty sweater or jacket, becoming ready to wear to work or another special occasion. This can be hard to envision, so we partnered with Sally McGraw from the blog Already Pretty. She took a few of our favorite dresses and did some bridesmaid dress restyling. Minnesota Monthly magazine has awarded Flutter Boutique Best Of The Cities in the Bridalwear category for 2009. The October issue of Minnesota Monthly is on newsstands now and contains the complete “Best Of” list.

We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to Minnesota Monthly for the recognizing our boutique and our products.

I love my job. I have the opportunity to work brides that are so creative and forward-thinking.

I was recently reminded of this when two brides brought in photos of dresses they liked from magazines or photographers’ portfolios. The photos just happened to be of bridal parties in our dresses. I was happy to see our brides’ visions inspire others.

Today I had the pleasure to work with an adorable and very sweet bride. She had tried on other wedding dresses that hadn’t felt like “the one”. She tried on one dress in our store and that was it. It can be that easy.

If you find something and fall in love with it right away, don’t feel like you have to keep going just to make sure. If you do keep looking, you’ll know the right dress for you, because it will remain in your mind as a constant reminder.
