Flutter Boutique was awarded Best Attendant Dresses by the readers of Minnesota Bride. We are very honored, knowing that it’s the customers that vote and decide the winner.
Minnesota Bride published this flattering quote describing Flutter.
“Flutter carries a lot of really different dresses and designers you don’t see other places — it’s everything from traditional to contemporary. And owner Michelle Hanson couldn’t have been nicer; she went out of her way to make all my bridesmaids feel comfortable.”

I love my job. I have the opportunity to work brides that are so creative and forward-thinking.
I was recently reminded of this when two brides brought in photos of dresses they liked from magazines or photographers’ portfolios. The photos just happened to be of bridal parties in our dresses. I was happy to see our brides’ visions inspire others.

Today I had the pleasure to work with an adorable and very sweet bride. She had tried on other wedding dresses that hadn’t felt like “the one”. She tried on one dress in our store and that was it. It can be that easy.
If you find something and fall in love with it right away, don’t feel like you have to keep going just to make sure. If you do keep looking, you’ll know the right dress for you, because it will remain in your mind as a constant reminder.

I have a good friend in a serious relationship and we were talking the other night about the cost of weddings. She is in a situation where she and her significant other will be absorbing the total cost of the wedding themselves. Naturally she was concerned about paying for it all.
My advice was to not break the bank over a big affair unless that is really what she wanted. We have many of brides that put on beautiful, small, affordable weddings.
Weddings come in all shapes and sizes and I think guests enjoy attending something different than the traditional reception. For instance, we have a bride that just ordered her wedding dress. She is doing the Jenny Yoo Audrey in off-white with beige lace trim and a beige Bianca bolero to give it a vintage vibe. Her reception is taking place in her backyard and I loved the personal approach to the wedding.
